Black Child Development Institute-Greater Orlando(BCDI-GO)

Welcome to the website of Black Child Development Institute-Greater Orlando(BCDI-GO), an affiliate of the National Black Child Development Institute (NBCDI).

As an affiliate of NBCDI, we align ourselves with an organization that has been at the forefront of engaging leaders, policymakers, professionals, and parents to address critical and timely issues that directly impact Black children and their families.

We pride ourselves on being a trusted partner in developing and delivering resources that are strengths-based, culturally relevant, evidence-based, and trauma-informed. We understand the unique strengths and needs of Black children, and we are committed to addressing these needs through various initiatives and programs.

Our primary focus areas revolve around early childhood education, health and wellness, literacy, and family engagement. We believe that these areas play a crucial role in shaping the lives of Black children and empowering them to reach their full potential. By offering a range of resources, advocacy efforts, and educational programs, we strive to create an environment where Black children can thrive and succeed.

"Quality programs for Black children must incorporate factors that ensure esteem and respect for oneself and one's heritage."

- Evelyn K. Moore, NBCDI President Emeritus, 1972
